Important!
Please review all state and local protocols and guidelines before deploying VIPER. VIPER makes no recommendations regarding the placement of the restraint clip due to stretcher variations. We recommend using fixed areas that comply with local policies and good clinical judgment. Restraints should be applied in the least restrictive manner possible, following state and local guidelines. Always ensure that the application of the restraint does not interfere with patient care or safety.
Never Do!
Never attach VIPER to a movable power frame. VIPER strongly advises against using areas on stretchers where two points converge, as this can wedge and torque the restraint clip, potentially causing breakage. Avoid securing the clip where pinch points may cause unusual torque and failure. Also, do not attach to movable stretcher parts that articulate away from the patient. VIPER Emergency Medical Restraints have not been tested in moving vehicles. Refer to local guidelines for proper application.
